The head decentralised exchange, Binance, was officially advertised this Wednesday (3 July 2019) and is switching from Omni-based to ERC-20-based addresses in the customer’s wallet to stabilize the currency system Tether (USDT). In order to effect the conversion, Binance states that there is a 30-minute stagnation in the planned USDT withdrawals and deposits starting at 8 a.m. on 4 July.

The announcement states that ETA’s ERC-20-based address will become the current standard, and trading users will not be able to withdraw the Omni-based USDT. However, Omni-based USDT can still be deposited by sending the old Omni-based USDT address to Binance.

实际上在今年2月，Huobi就增加了对ERC-20?USDT地址的支持。但是Huobi选择保留对USDT原始基于比特币（BTC）的Omni?Layer?Protocol地址的支持。
