WikiLeaks has learned that on Monday, the price of Bitcoin was over US$ 54,000, the highest in more than two years. There is growing optimism about Bitcoin, with investors’ continuing demand for the Exchange Trading Fund (ETF) pushing Bitcoin prices back to record levels in November 2021.

Spencer Hallarn, Global Manager of Off-Site Transactions at Encrypted Currency Investment Company GSR, stated: “By the continued influx of ETF funds, Bitcoin will continue to rise.”

Investors have invested more than $5 billion in the nine ETFs that started trading last year. This figure also takes into account the $7.4 billion that was withdrawn from the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust during the same period.

DeFi analysts at Cumberland's lab, Chris Newhouse, said: “In the context of increased demand for spot goods, bitcoin prices are close to the new annual highs, and dynamic traders quickly enter the warehouse after a week of cleaning. Interestingly, despite rising prices, the level of silos is not too much, and the empty position of silos is quickly replaced by leverage.”

According to Newhouse, there has been a marked increase in the number of open or outstanding contracts for permanent bitcoin futures. At the same time, empty positions have been forced to level up in the recent rise.

MicroStrategy (MSTR.US) has once again made a big effort to buy bitcoin, further encouraging optimism. The company’s software company has already made the purchase of bitcoin part of its corporate strategy.

By Monday, the stock price of MicroStrategy had risen by more than 15.8 per cent, while other stocks associated with encrypted currencies had rebounded, Coinbase (COIN.US) by more than 16 per cent and Marathon Digital (MARA.US) by more than 21 per cent.
