马来西亚将1000多台比特币矿机“就地正法”，直接用压路机碾平

根据《马新社》（Bernama）报道，马来西亚美里（Miri）警方和砂拉越能源公司（Sarawak Energy Berhad）联手，缉查了大量违法窃取电力的比特币矿场，8人被指控涉嫌窃取电力。马来西亚最近开始打击全国范围内用于非法比特币挖矿的电力盗窃行为。

According to the New Ma (Bernama), the Malaysian police and Sarawak Energy Company (Sarawak Energy Berhad) have joined forces to apprehend a large number of illegally stolen bitcoin mines, eight of whom have been accused of stealing electricity. Malaysia has recently begun to combat the nationwide theft of electricity used for illegal mining in bitcoin.

警方在今年2月至4月期间，一共查获了1,069台矿机，价值共530万令吉。

During the period from February to April of this year, the police seized a total of 1,069 mining machines valued at 5.3 million yuan.

这些矿机是在砂拉越地区一个机场附近的六次突击搜查中被没收的，根据报道，这些犯罪者找到了一种从砂拉越能源公司的输电网中盗取电力的方法，来为他们的比特币挖矿机供电，在三个月的时间里窃取了价值近200万美元的电力。

The machines were confiscated during six raids near an airport in the Sarawak area and, according to reports, the perpetrators found a way to steal electricity from the grid of the Sandra Energy Company to supply electricity to their bitcoin miner and to steal nearly $2 million worth of electricity over a period of three months.

这些矿机最终被“正法”，马来西亚当局直接用一台压路机碾平这些非法矿机，看起来相当大快人心。不过，还是有人觉得可惜，认为为什么不拍卖、或者找到其他方法来重新利用这些矿机。

The machines were eventually “right” and the Malaysian authorities appeared to be quite pleased to use a roller to level these illegal machines. Unfortunately, however, some felt that they were not auctioned, or found other ways to re-use them.

非法挖矿在马来西亚并不是什么新鲜事。今年3月，一名男子被指控从另一间能源公司窃取价值超过220万美元的电力，目前仍在逃且被警方通缉。

Illegal mining is not new in Malaysia. In March this year, a man accused of stealing electricity worth over $2.2 million from another energy company is still at large and wanted by the police.

美里警察局长Hakemal Hawari表示：“比特币挖矿活动的电力盗窃已导致频繁停电，2021年，由于非法供电来源，已经有三所房屋因为电气火灾被夷为平地。”

According to US Chief of Police Hakemal Hawari, “the theft of electricity from bitcoin mining activities has resulted in frequent power outages, and in 2021 three houses were razed to the ground as a result of electrical fires as a result of illegal sources of electricity”.

目前，当地警方正在努力加强对非法比特币挖矿活动进行缉查。

At present, the local police are working to enhance the detection of illegal bitcoin mining activities.
