1月3日20时，比特币价格突然跳水，短短10分钟内，暴跌超4000美元。截至21时20分，比特币价格短线止跌回升，暂报42360美元。
At 2000 hours on 3 January, the price of Bitcoin suddenly jumped and fell by over $4,000 within 10 minutes. By 2120 hours, the price of Bitcoin had fallen back short and was provisionally reported at $42360.

At 2000 hours on 3 January, the price of Bitcoin fell rapidly, leaving the “waterfall stream” empty within five minutes. After losing its $45,000 critical position, Bitcoin's multi-headed defence front collapsed and fell again, collapsing at $44,000, $43,000 and $42,000.
据Coinglass数据统计，截至1月3日21时，24小时全网爆仓人数超过17万，爆仓总金额高达6.13亿美元（约合人民币43.8亿元）。
According to Coinglass data, as at 2100 hours on 3 January, the 24-hour full-network explosion had reached more than 170,000 people and a total of $613 million (approximately RMB 4.38 billion).

As a result of the sharp fall in bitcoin prices, the virtual currency market was bled down, and several mainstream virtual currency prices fell sharply. By 2120 hours, it fell by more than 7 per cent in the district, by more than 12 per cent in the Ribbon and by more than 10 per cent in the dog price.
中国证券报记者注意到，市场投资者对于接下来比特币的行情走势分歧较大。有分析人士指出，比特币现货ETF将于近日在美国获得批准的预期，加之美联储降息预期升温，引发投资者对虚拟货币市场的投资热情，推动此前比特币价格大涨。大跌可能是因为近期价格上涨过快，投资者倾向于获利了结而出现回调。
According to analysts, the forecast that the spot ETF in Bitcoin will be approved in the United States in the near future, coupled with the expected increase in interest rate reductions by the Fed, triggered investors’ enthusiasm for investment in the virtual currency market and pushed the price of bitcoins up before. The fall may be due to recent price hikes and investors’ tendency to make a profit.
链上分析师Ali在社交平台发布的数据显示，在过去的10天里，比特币矿工已经出售大约4000枚比特币，总价值超过1.76亿美元。
Data released by the chain analyst Ali on social platforms show that over the past 10 days bitcoin miners have sold about 4,000 bitcoins, with a total value of over $176 million.

According to the source, on 3 January local time, the Matirxport study showed that, since none of the Bitcoin spot ETF applications had met one of the key requirements, the SEC (United States Securities and Exchange Commission) was expected to reject all applications in January. At present, the SEC Voting Board is unlikely to approve the Bitcoin spot ETF, as this would legalize Bitcoin.
资深比特币研究者洪蜀宁对中国证券报记者表示，Matrixport发布的研报预计，如果SEC拒绝批准，市场将出现大规模的清算活动，比特币价格会因此跌至36000至38000美元。市场受此消息影响，造成恐慌性抛售。不过，在SEC正式消息落地前，行情都有可能发生大的调整，投资者应注意风险。
Senior Bitcoin researcher Hong Jinning said to Chinese securities reporters that the study published by Matirxport predicted that if SEC refused approval, there would be a large-scale liquidation of the market, and that the price of Bitcoin would fall to between $36,000 and $38,000. The market was affected by the news, causing a panic to sell.
不少投机者倾向获利了结
A lot of speculators tend to win.
2023年下半年以来，比特币价格持续上行，2023年累计涨幅超过145%。受整体行情上行影响，虚拟货币的总市值迅速增长。据Coingecko数据显示，目前虚拟货币总市值已接近1.5万亿美元（约合10.7万亿元人民币）。

Despite the heavy losses incurred by many investors, more investors are looking at Dobitco. In the last three months, according to Coinglass, investors’ holdings have tended to rise and then slow down, and remain above 1.25, while the number of people holding more is 1.09 to 1.01.
虚拟货币交易平台CoinDCX的国际市场副总裁Ayyar表示，本轮比特币涨势很大程度上是建立在对比特币现货ETF获批这一预期上。如果比特币现货ETF再次被美国监管机构否决，本轮比特币涨势可能会宣告终结且持续回调。因此，不少投机者目前倾向于获利了结，虚拟货币市场出现回落。
According to Ayyar, Vice-President of the international market of the virtual currency trading platform CoinDCX, the current round of bitcoin is largely based on the expectation that the spot ETF of Bitcoin will be approved. If the spot ETF of Bitcoin is rejected again by US regulators, the current round of bitcoins may end and continue to roll back.

Since last year, a number of financial institutions, such as Belede, have submitted spot ETF applications for Bitcoin, raising market concerns. According to incomplete statistics, 13 applicants have now held 24 meetings with SEC to discuss the details of the spot ETF for Bitcoin.

Recently, the Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said: “If we don't see the spot bitcoin ETF passing in the next two weeks, it may be because the SEC wants to take longer to decide on this matter.”
