At 8.09 a.m. on Wednesday, Eastern Australia time, Bitcoin's price on Bitstamp.net was $62,915, a decrease of 6.6 per cent, after a brief fall of less than $62,000.

Ironically, the recovery of Bitcoin is largely attributable to a regulatory body that has long been perceived as hostile to encrypted currencies: the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. Last year, the US Securities and Exchange Commission tried to reject the spot bitcoin ETF fund, but it failed legally.
