理工学院首期“相遇在未来?访谈录”为大家邀请到了就读于苏黎世联邦理工大学的四位校友，他们将结合自身经验与大家分享学习方法及毕业后的经历与感悟，让我们一起来看看他们想对学弟学妹说的话吧。

What do you think the greatest change in college life has brought you?
最大的改变是我的独立思考的能力提高了。记得高中时都是老师讲什么我记什么，可是读大学期间，因为遇到了很多优秀的同学，他们的思辨能力让我感触很多。每一次在通识课上的讨论都会让我大开眼界。久而久之，我自己独立思考的能力也有了一定的提升，遇事也懂得了从多方面思考。
The biggest change is my ability to think independently. Remember what I remember when I was a teacher in high school, but when I went to college, I felt a lot about it because I met a lot of good classmates. Every discussion in general studies opened my eyes. Over time, my own ability to think independently has improved, and things have learned to think in many ways.
本科期间你是怎么安排课余活动的呢？你当时是怎样平衡学习和生活的呢？
How did you arrange after-school activities during your undergraduate period? How did you balance learning and life?
本科期间除了学习外，我喜欢和朋友一起去打乒乓球，和室友一起去校外吃饭看电影，偶尔也会看看游戏直播。一直学习会很累的，身体和精神上都会受不了，所以我一般学累了就会歇歇，歇够了继续学。不过因为人都是有惰性的，所以很有可能出现的一种情况是歇不够。这个时候要靠自己心中的信念和目标来让自己重新回到学习上，想一想自己如果一直玩下去的话，到作业deadline的时候自己一定会手忙脚乱，最后交上去的作业质量也不是自己期望的。
In addition to studying, I like to play ping-pong with my friends, eat with my roommate outside school, watch movies, and sometimes watch video games. Learning is exhausting, physical and mental, so I'm usually tired and rested enough. But because people are inert, it is likely that one of the things that happens is not enough. This is a time when `strong' needs to return to learning with his own convictions and goals.
另外，我记得2015年我刚入学的时候，校长说过一句话叫“缓事急做，急事缓做”，现在想来还是有一定的道理的。如果能尽早把一些deadline不是那么急的作业做完，那就可以腾出更多的时间来安排课余活动。如果deadline确实很赶，那也不要急，因为越急就越容易犯错，这种时候我一般选择牺牲自己的部分课余时间来完成课程作业。
Also, I remember when I first went to school in 2015, when the principal said, “The strong is slow, the strong is slow”, and there's still a point. If you can finish some of the deadlines as soon as possible, then you can spare more time to schedule the after-school activities. If the deadline is really in a hurry, don't worry, because the more it makes it easier for me to make mistakes, which is when I usually choose to sacrifice some of my extra time to finish the course.
本科毕业后为什么选择继续升学呢？
Why did you choose to continue your studies after graduation?
我毕业后选择升学一方面是因为自己对科学比较感兴趣。本科学到的知识很宽泛，我对其中的一些方向较为感兴趣，于是想着趁年轻，自己能学的深一些就尽力去学。所以我毕业后没有立刻找工作，而是继续往更深的一些地方读下去了。另一方面是我想体验不同国家的文化和生活环境，进一步拓宽自己的视野，所以我选择了出国留学。
When I graduated, I chose to go to higher education because I was more interested in science. The science was very broad, and I was more interested in some of the directions, so I tried to study as much as I could while I was young. So I didn't find a job immediately after graduation, but I went on to some deeper places. On the other hand, I wanted to experience the cultural and living conditions of different countries and to broaden my horizons further, so I chose to study abroad.
如何尽快适应国外新的学习环境和学习阶段？
How can you adapt to new learning environments and stages abroad as soon as possible?
其实我们学校本科毕业的学生，还是比较容易适应国外/境外的学习环境的。首先，因为本科我们专业课课程都是全英教学，所以在国外读书时，我听课时不会觉得语言落差很大（更多需要适应的是不同教授的英文口音，不过这个也很好适应）。另外，因为我们学校的很多老师都是从国外/境外过来/回来的，所以他们也有着跟国际接轨的教学经验和方式，所以我在国外时，就学习形式上来说，还是适应地很自然的。
In fact, it is easier for students who graduate from undergraduate schools to adapt to the learning environment abroad/outside. First, because the subject is taught in English, when studying abroad, I do not feel that the language is very different (more needs to be adapted to the English accents of the different professors, but this is also very well adapted). And, since many of the teachers in our schools come/return from abroad, they also have experience and methods of teaching internationally, so it is natural that when I study abroad, it is still natural to adapt to the form of study.
具体到学习上来说，我本人是用着和本科差不多的学习方法：课前预习，课上好好听，课后认真把课上没听懂的研究懂。这种方法也适用于我研究生阶段的学习。不过每个人都有自己的学习方法，所以适合自己的才是最好的。
To be specific, I am using the same learning method as my undergraduates: pre-schooling, listening to classes, carefully following classes, learning non-understandable studies. This also applies to my post-graduate studies. But everyone has their own learning methods, so the best thing for himself is strong.
你对学弟学妹们有什么想说的话呢？
What do you want to say to your schoolgirls?
学弟学妹们，你们正处于最好的年纪，虽然现在疫情之下有时候会比较艰难，但是还是希望你们能好好享受自己的本科时光。这对于未来的你们来说，无疑是一种独一无二而又宝贵的回忆。
Fellows, you are at the best of your age, and although the epidemic may be difficult at times, we hope that you will enjoy your undergraduate time. This is undoubtedly a unique and valuable memory for you in the future.
希望你们在学到知识的同时，能不断探索出适合自己的学习方法，学到的知识如果不用总会有忘的一天，但是自己一旦掌握了适合自己的学习方法，未来就算进入了新的领域，也可以很快地适应。另外，希望你们能不以GPA论成败，人生的道路还很长，除了GPA之外还有很多东西值得自己去努力（比如培养自己的兴趣，培养自己的思辨能力，提高自身的综合素质）。

最终的结果固然重要，但是我觉得更重要的是过程。谋事在人，成事在天，如果自己努力了但是没有达到最后想达到的后果，那这样也不用过于自我苛责。如果能从失败中总结经验，吸取教训，争取下次有所提升，这便是很大的进步。
The final outcome is important, but I think it's more important that the process be . In people, it's the day that the plan is done, and if you try to do it but do not achieve the desired consequences, then there is no need to be too self-restraint. If you learn from the failures, learn from the lessons, and try to make a difference next time, that would be a great step forward.

视野的拓宽以及性格的改善。因为同学们来自五湖四海，教授们也都阅历丰富。与同学和教授交流，可以极大地开阔视野，对世界的广度有新的了解。而我有幸和几位性格非常好的同学成为朋友，他们的性格也潜移默化地影响了我。
The broadening of the horizon and the improvement of character . Because students come from all over the world, professors are rich. Communication with students and professors can open up a great deal of horizons and have a new understanding of the breadth of the world. And I have the privilege of being friends with a few very good people, and their character has influenced me in a subtle way.
本科期间你是怎么安排课余活动的呢？你当时是怎样平衡学习和生活的呢？
How did you arrange after-school activities during your undergraduate period? How did you balance learning and life?
因为我没有参加什么社团，所以我的课余活动就是和朋友一起爬山，或者去看电影，下馆子，以及唱歌。如果每周时间有十份的话，我会至少投入一份到生活中。虽然学习很重要，但是休息的确是不可缺少的。休息可以抹去我的疲惫，也可以让我思维更加清晰，做事更加高效。
Because I'm not a member of any community, so my after-school activities are climbing with friends, or going to movies, going down to a place, and singing. If I had 10 copies a week, I'd put at least one in my life. Learning is important, but rest is indispensable. Rest can erase my fatigue, and it can make my thinking clearer and my work more efficient.
本科毕业后为什么选择继续升学呢？
Why did you choose to continue your studies after graduation?
学术上，深感自己本学科的知识量还是不太够，并且没有在一个特定领域specialize。生活上，也希望可以趁年轻到外面看看，体会异域的风土人情。
Academicly, the amount of knowledge that you have in your field is still insufficient and is not available in a particular field.
如何尽快适应国外新的学习环境和学习阶段？
How can you adapt to new learning environments and stages abroad as soon as possible?
因为本科的时候也是英文授课，所以其实就单纯上课来说，适应期是很短甚至不太需要的。但是学术英语和日常英语还是不太一样，可能需要去适应的是如何和外国同学社交。这个需要多找外国人聊天、参与他们的活动。

在港中深四年学习过程中印象较深的一件事是什么？

印象最深的大概就是大一结束之后我选择了转学院。当时经过一年的学习之后，我发现最开始选择的学院并不适合自己，自己对之后的方向也没有很大的兴趣。于是，在经过慎重思考，以及和家人、老师们的沟通后，我选择了转学院。大二期间因为转学院的原因，学习压力大了很多，但因为是自己做的决定，对当时的专业抱有期待，所以还是很有动力的。现在想起来，感谢当时有魄力的自己，也感谢家人和老师们当时对我决定的支持。
Perhaps the most impressed part was that I chose to transfer after a year of study. After a year of study, I realized that the college that I had chosen was not suitable for myself, and that I had no interest in the direction that followed. 我大一大二的时候参加的社团活动比较多，大三之后重心就主要放在课程和升学申请上了。我有经历过大二的时候一学期19学分外加合唱团等多个社团活动的阶段，当时并没有精力不够用的感觉，每天都过得很充实，课余活动在一定程度上也缓解了课程的压力；也有经历过大三大四一学期12学分单纯学习的阶段，因为当时处在规划未来的阶段，会花更多的时间去思考和尝试新的道路。
When I was a sophomore in my first year, my focus was mainly on courses and applications for promotions. I went through the 19th semester of my sophomore year, together with the concerts and so on, and I did not feel that I had enough energy to do so every day, and the after-school activities of `strong' eased the stress of the course to some extent ; and also went through the 12nd semester of the three major four semesters, as it took more time to think about and try new paths at the stage of planning for the future.
我对此的感受是，大学期间学习和生活的平衡主要是要明确阶段目标，有了目标之后并不算太难，毕竟大学可是精力最旺盛的时候，充满着无限可能，有目标想着去做，相信自己，就可以做到。
